Lacy Park Pool

The Tulsa Parks Department has a long history of commitment to their mission “to provide and preserve quality parks and recreation opportunities for all Tulsa Citizens.” This commitment continues with the millions of dollars that the City of Tulsa has pledged to renovate numerous park facilities. A prime example of this is Lacy Park at 2134 N. Madison PL. just north of downtown Tulsa which has seen a great deal of renovation recently. As Tulsa Parks Director Anna America says, “This is a great park that has a lot of really good amenities. We just built a new playground, a new water playground as well, new renovations inside in the weight room.” These investments have transformed Lacy Park into what some are calling a super park. However, as Tulsans know, there is no such thing as a super park in the middle of an Oklahoma summer without an awesome pool. Magnum Construction was glad to be given the opportunity to bid for this project in April of 2017.

On February 22, 2018, Magnum Construction started work on the project of a new, $2.6 million, Lacy Park pool designed by Oklahoma architectural firm GH2 Architects.

Magnum Construction completed the project on July 7, 2019 in time for a July 12, 2019 grand opening and a Summer Saturday that was free of admission for the entire community to celebrate and enjoy. The offering included a large new 201,910 gallon pool featuring a beach entry that progresses to a 12 foot deep end swimming area with diving board. There is a diverse amount of play features including spray toys, a double slide, diving board, and a rock climbing wall to provide fun activities for swimmers of all ages. New umbrella structures are located on the pool deck for shaded sitting areas. The check in area and locker rooms has been renovated for ease of use and to give an enjoyable arrival to the new pool. Magnum Construction self-performed approximately twenty percent of the work and joined with several ABC members in completing the project. Magnum Construction is pleased to give the City of Tulsa and the Lacy Park Community their new state of the art pool that we are sure will be enjoyed for many summers to come.
